50% OFF - Only one of these old hotels in the Mid-Atlantic resort of Ocean City (MD) is still in operation, albeit with a new name. The Plimhimmon opened in 1894, the third hotel to be built in the little seashore fishing community on the block of 1st and 2nd Streets. Built by a young widow who had been raised on her father's estate in Talbot County and given the same name as her home estate. It's signature tower atop the roof is part of the original hotel damaged by fire some 50 years ago and rebuilt in the same style. Today it is called the Plim Plaza Hotel.
The George Washington Hotel, seen here in the 1960's, also enjoyed a long history in the bustling resort. But was demolished in 1990 and its location on 10th Street is now occupied by the Americana Hotel. Set includes one Plimhimmon Hotel card and three George Washington Hotel cards. All measure 5-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches and are unused.
