Although we didn’t have a fireplace in our house when my boys were growing up, we always found a place to tack their Christmas stockings on the wall. Many years ago the treats most often found in holiday stockings were oranges, a special gift at a time when oranges weren’t hauled coast to coast from Florida and California and commonly found in produce sections of the local grocery store. Many children today still wonder why there might be an orange in their stocking. Now they get special small gifts and sweets as well. These two are the simple red fuzzy material with white cuffs at the top. No names on either of them. From top of the cuff to the top of the toe they measure 12-inches (not including the tab for hanging) and 5 ½ inches across - plenty of room for goodies! One white cuff recently mended on the back seam.
