You'll find stories about an imprint of a leather hand-sewn moccasin embedded in limestone generally dated to 180 to 225 million years ago. Where? Nevada - 1927. How about a 14-inch mummy of a middle-aged man found in Wyoming? According to one story, the last pterodactyl died in 1856, disturbed by a French crew tunneling through rock. Reportedly the beast had been encased alive, but died just moments later.
