Vintage 1940's - 1950's Native American Huge Scenic Petrified Wood Sterling Cuff Bracelet.
This is a very and unusual piece comprised of a sterling cuff bracelet designed for the tourist trade popular during the Fred Harvey era....set with a captivating, large and very scenic petrified wood stone in the center. The cuff is embellished with a native american design on the shoulders and the band, embellished with small studs or prunt like decorations. Bead work and twisted rope design frame the bezel set scenic petrified wood stone. The stone has a subtle grey background, mesmerizing black silhouette pattern with tracings of an orange sunset.
Bracelet is unsigned and unmarked. Tested positive for sterling.
Bracelet measures 6-1/2 inches inside circumference (around) with a 1-1/4 inch wide wrist opening (best suited for a smaller wrist). The stone including the beaded frame measures 1-1/2 inches in diameter at the front tapering to 1/2 wide at the back near the wrist opening.
Bracelet weighs 1.44 ozt (troy ounces) the correct measurement for sterling... or 44.9 grams.
