Vintage 1940's Mexican Sterling Dyed Green Onyx Huge Oval Mask Wide Bracelet.
This is an exceptional example of 1940's Mexican silver designed for the tourist trade.....comprised of seven plaques or sections set with oval carved dyed green onyx masks.... hinged together to form this colossal size bracelet. Each plaque or section is embellished with a fine twisted rope or braid border. Hefty, solid and substantial piece.
Bracelet is stamped Sterling Mexico on the back of clasp with a makers mark.
Bracelet total weight is 3.53 ozt (troy ounces) which is the correct measurement for silver or equivalent to 109.7 grams.
Bracelet measures 7 inches long by 1-3/4 inch wide. Each plaque or section with mask measures 1-3/4 inches high by 7/8 inch wide.
Very good vintage condition. Aztec!
