Vintage 1940's - 1950 Mexico Square Link Amethyst and Raised Bead Sterling Bracelet.
Great looking Mexican Silver bracelet comprised of square sections or links of sterling silver. Alternating square links or sections are decorated with raised bead detail and slightly domed pieces of polished natural amethyst embellished with grooves or channels, set with silver twisted into a fine rope or thread design. Wonderful design. Box clasp closure.
Bracelet is signed Mexico Sterling on the tongue of the clasp. Fashioned for the tourist trade.
Bracelet measures 7 inches long (not including the clasp tongue) by 3/4 inch wide.
Bracelet weighs 1.33 ozt troy ounces (correct measurement for sterling) or 41.4 grams.
The raised bead detail display some small surface dings. There are a few nicks in the edges of the amethyst stones. All commensurate with the age of the piece from normal wear. Does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Mentioned for accuracy. Artistic!
