Vintage 1970's Dauplaise Faceted Black Glass Bead Rhinestone Rondelle Dripping Bib Necklace.
This is a gorgeous necklace by Carol Dauplaise (from the school of Haskell designers). This piece is comprised of faceted round, briolette, and barrel type shape, black glass beads, strung along the neck chain interspersed with four rhinestone rondelles. Neck chain is suspending twelve chains dripping with more beads some singly and some grouped for a clustered effect finished with rhinestone encrusted balls. Silver tone findings. Push / pull interlocking clasp.
Necklace is signed Dauplaise with Pat # 3,934,900 RE. 31036 on the clasp.
Necklace measures 15-3/4 inches long and drops down 3-1/2 inches (longest dripping bead strand at the center). The majority of the round faceted black glass beads along the neck chain measure approximately 8 millimeters in size. Largest two round black faceted glass beads along the neck chain measure approximately 12 millimeters in size and the largest dripping rhinestone encrusted balls as well.
Excellent vintage condition. Dramatic!
