Vintage Aynsley Burgundy Yellow Roses Teacup & Saucer.

Gorgeous and not often encountered Aynsley burgundy or deep rose colored footed teacup and saucer. The interior of the teacup is a shade of pale lemon yellow......with a stunning display of hand painted red, pink and yellow roses. The teacup is finished with gold trim on the rim that extends down below the roses on one side of the interior as well as the handle and teacup foot or pedestal. Saucer is trimmed in gold as well.

This is a highly collectible and not often encountered piece. The design is reminiscent of the work of artist J.A. Bailey....but is not artist signed.

The teacup and saucer are both signed Aynsley England Bone China on the reverse/ base.

Teacup measures 3-5/8 inches inside diameter by 2-1/8 inches high. Saucer measures 5-5/8 inches in diameter.

There are a few minuscule utensil marks, (mainly on the saucer) and one tiny pit on the gold trim at the edge of the teacup foot. Really have to scrutinize to see (view in magnified version), majority of what you see are reflections from the camera /lighting.

Vintage condition is otherwise excellent. Rings or pings nicely. Beautiful!
