Antique Victorian Late 1800's Spinning Citrine 9C Gold Watch Fob Pendant.
Gorgeous piece comprised of 9 carat gold fashioned into an ornate fob with scroll type detail....featuring a pale lemon colored citrine with three polished sides and embellished with faceted sides and edges. The citrine spins easily on its post like attachments. These fobs were originally meant to embellish a watch chain..... which they still do so beautifully. However, today they may be seen fashionably worn as a pendant or attached to a charm bracelet. Nice size attachment ring or bale will accommodate a slim to medium size chain.
Fob is stamped 375 for 9 carat/karat gold on the side with a manufacturers mark and possibly a date mark as well on the other side that is difficult to decipher. English in origin.
Fob measures 1-1/4 inches high by 1 inch wide.
Fob weighs 7.1 grams.
Slight surface scratching to the polished faces of the stone that are more readily viewed under magnification and a bite on the end of the stone that can be seen from one position. Antique condition is very good. Beautiful!
