Vintage 1960's - 1970's 18K Diamond and Tsavorite Garnet Bee Insect Pin.
Absolutely beautiful piece. Comprised of rich 18k gold fashioned into a sweet little bee with both the upper and lower body paved with prong set gleaming faceted green tsavorite garnets. The wings poised for flight.....are paved with tiny glittering diamonds. Six spindly legs support the body and the petite head is set with ruby cabochon eyes. Many similar pieces may be found with a Tiffany or Herbert Rosenthal signature. This bee is unsigned, therefore the maker is unknown. However, what is know...is that the high quality of this piece rivals the best of the recognized signatures.
