This is darling but needs a little TLC. It is a celluloid headband for dolls from the twenties or early thirties, made to simulate tortoiseshell. It is pierced all along the band, and has old ribbon threaded through it that ends in a very tired looking bow and one straggly flower. The ribbon could be soaked, ironed and replaced, or you could substitute your own ribbon and decoration.
I got this on a doll dressed as a "Flapper" and she wore it low on her forehead and tied at the back of her head. Very cute!
It measures 5 inches long and a bit over 1/4" wide. It will fit a variety of head sizes as the ribbon tie makes it adjustable.
The box in the first photo is not included-I was trying to be artistic!
An unusual doll accessory and not commonly found.
