16" Conta & Boehm china head with a faint pink tint, on an old possibly original body, circa the early 1860's. I can see a pint tint very clearly on the arms. Good condition. All antique outfit. A more uncommon china with a cute round face and great clothing. I love her round face and placid expression!
She is wearing a lovely red calico dress that is in beautiful condition. No rips or holes, and the color is still brilliant. Her wonderful striped apron is fragile and heavily mended. Her bonnet is really lovely, with rows of pin tucks and lace that is gathered into a peak at the front, trimmed with a pink silk ribbon. She is wearing almost pristine pantaloons and a slip. These are antique, or made from antique materials.
One arm is cracked and re-glued. Minor roughness on tip of nose. She has three tiny pits in her forehead and two on her chin that are in the making. There is another manufacturing pit on the back of her shoulder head. My studio lights are reflecting in the picture and appearing like rubs. I count six actual rubs, the two worst ones being on the upper row of curls at the back. The others are relatively small, and a couple are very tiny, almost unnoticeable. Hairdo is almost perfect on the right side, and there is one rub on her left. Flat boots have some rubs/paint scratches.
Comes with additional antique skirt (mended) and pinner apron plus a newly made dress. The apron needs hemming on one side. The skirt is black and white stripes with red trim, and it has a darling pocket. Please see pictures and ask questions. Let me know if you need more pictures-I can only put nine in my ad.
