A very rare English Ceremonial Uniform Coat
King George V Household Cavalry
Dating from circa 1911
Extremely heavy due to high metallic content in fabrics
Constructed of very fine quality metallic gold bands and lace ribbon upon a burgundy silk velvet ground
lined with black felted wool
Antique condition with appropriate signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
Marks / tarnish to metallic gold . Kings monogram applique missing on back.
Royal crown applique missing from front. I can see signs of applique along front closing edge which is no longer there
Some of the bands have become detached and need re stitching into place mainly under the arm.
All hand made buttons are present and original
Overall good for such a rare item . Displays very well indeed.
SIZE 37 inches long . Sleeves are 30 inches long
