I love this necklace; it's unusual in its construction and its design. The seven segments are heavily lacquered over natural stone (I think). The design is subtle and it looks like it could be wood also, but my vote is stone. On the other hand, they are not cold to the touch like stone should be, so maybe they are wood. The sections are backed with silver tone metal and all held in place by a cord with button clasp. There are no marks or hallmarks. I've never seen a necklace quite like this so dating it is hard, but I suspect 1970s.
