This is a special piece. The cameo, in high relief is nicely detailed. I think it's plastic, but the lines on the reverse (see last photo) indicate it may be bone. The cameo is surrounded by a frame of paste stones and further accented by a tiny drop. The rhinestone studded pendant bail folds-away so the pendant becomes a brooch pin. I'm having trouble dating this piece -- Renaissance Revival? or newer. Several jewelry friends suggest this may be an unsigned piece by Hobe. As it stands, there are no marker's marks and I've not found the piece in any reference book. Condition is very good to excellent. The oval is 1 5/8" x 1 1/4," the drop is an additional 5/16" and the bail is 13/16" long.
