This clean lined antique French Louis Philippe silverleaf mirror is over 100 years of age and can still be used in almost any style of furnishing. Louis Philippe mirrors were made from the middle of the 1800s through the last half of the 19th century. On this mirror, a linear bead molding surrounds the innermost portion of the mirror. At the center of the outer molding is a half round molding with highly burnished, geometric silverleaf motifs against a matte silverleaf surface. At the outer edge of the mirror is a linear rolled bead motif. Yellow bole is on the outermost edge. The glass mirror was probably replaced at a later date.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with old restorations, minor losses and scratches to silvering, commensurate with age.
