This versatile antique French Louis Philippe style mirror with clean lines is over 100 years old and can still be used with almost any style of furnishing. Louis Philippe mirrors were made from the middle of the 1800s through the last half of the 19th century. On this mirror, there are motifs of linear beading surrounding the innermost area of the mirror. The half round molding surrounding this has incised foliate and floral motifs around the entire mirror. The glass mirror has the desirable loss of silvering on it. Red and yellow bole has been used on this beautiful Louis Philippe giltwood mirror from the 19th Century.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with small losses to gilding, scratches, all commensurate with age. Loss of silvering on mirror.
