This hand made and painted dish comes from the South of France. It is known as a Tourtiere, which in France, means a dish to make pies. In Quebec, it is known as a meat pie, served during Christmas and New Years Day. If you want to cook, you must remove the top and place the bottom dish within another dish with about an inch of water in it. It is a unique, colorful, and fun accessory for your kitchen.
