This elegant, hand carved limestone mantel from France has curved legs and a stepped-out molding on the front of the mantelshelf and legs. Its size is perfect for use in a variety of rooms. Mantels of similar design were often carved during the reign of Louis XIV in the late 1600's to early 1700's throughout the Loire countryside. This versatile French limestone mantel was expertly carved in the 1900s, and can be used in any period of design.
