From a French chateau in the southwest of France, this large and impressive antique French Vitrine has been painted a pale grey, and embellished with a profusion of beautiful motifs. Vitrines were made for the display of objets d’art. This Vitrine not only has an inside display area but also its own outside display of magnificent motifs. There is a large drawer at the bottom with a beautiful iron drop handle of stylized dolphins. The motifs are large and in scale with the size of this Vitrine. This piece will definitely make a statement wherever it is placed.
CONDITION: Important note: No back to the Vitrine, but one could easily be made. Old restorations. Minor loss to motifs, age separations, nicks, rubs, and wear consistent with age. Glass appears to be original. Please inspect photos.
