Code 409-13A Carved Antique French Floor Candlestick Lamp, circa 1880
This is an antique carved and painted wooden candlestick from the late 1800s. In French, it is known as a "Pic Cierge." At some point in it's history, this regal antique French candlestick (possibly from a Church) has been turned into a floor lamp at some point in its history. A hole has been drilled through the piece and a fitting placed at the top center for running wires through. The highly carved ornamentation is of stylized floral and leaf decoration, lunettes, spiral shapes and gadrooned lobed décor. The tall candle sleeve gives it the perfect height for a floor lamp. Please note, this would be need to be US electrified if you intend to use as a lamp. We would be happy to help coordinate this.
