Italian Bas Relief Plaque of a Grape Vine in Carved Limestone

Hand-carved in Italy, this limestone plaque depicts a bas-relief display of grape clusters hanging from a vine with large leaves. Presented horizontally, the vine stretches almost the entire length of the rectangular plaque. The gray limestone has developed a wonderful, mottled patina with elements of black, white, and gold. Our bas relief plaque would make a decorative architectural for a garden, patio, or even indoors.

CONDITION: Very good condition. Intentional distress marks. Presence of lichen accumulation, with additional patina, presenting as a mottling of black, white, and gold. Limestone is a natural material that can change color with exposure to the elements.
