This antique, French bronze spout is in the form of a lioness. It is a particularly large spout, and it dates to the late 1700s. It is unusual to see animal heads on these spouts, and this lioness has great detail. Her ears are pinned back, she has large eyes, and the sharp teeth grip the main spout section. Though was likely used for a large wine barrel, it could be repurposed as a water spout, fountain spout, or used as a decorative accessory anywhere in the home.
CONDITION: Good condition with minor nicks, rubs, and wear as seen in photos.
