This antique French copper fish poacher dates to the 1700’s. This is a bit more rare than other antique copper poachers, due to its shape. This large diamond shape was specifically made to cook the Turbot fish. Turbot have been known as the "King of Fish". It has received praise from the Popes of centuries past all the way back to the Emperors of Rome. Of course, other large fish can also be cooked in this large copper pan. This copper turbotiere is in fantastic condition for its age. The tin liner with handles is also in good condition. It is a coveted piece of cookware by North Atlantic seafood chefs.
CONDITION: Very good. Some old finger marks and very minor denting to copper.
