Catalan tables from Spain were originally made to be easily taken apart for frequent transport. In the tradition of the earliest Spanish tables, which simply consisted of boards which were laid upon trestles, there is no under-framing on this table. The long oak boards are supported by splayed lyre shaped legs, connected by two graceful curved wrought iron bars. The top is attached via dovetail grooves, secured by long iron turn bolts. This table has a wonderful rich patina which it has acquired over the years. This long antique Spanish Catalan table will be an asset to any home.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with losses in areas (mostly on the legs), age separations, minor abrasions in areas.
