This unusual Baroque style console dates to the 19th century*, and has a fabulous overall shape. Originally from Germany, it was said to have come out of a theater. The incurved center is painted a light blue, and it is flanked by two large stepped out giltwood moldings. The top and bottom of the front is adorned with similar giltwood moldings, while the top of of the piece is a faux Rouge Royal marble. The painted curved space had two attachment holes when we originally found it, so it may have held an ornament of some sort. Today, it could be used a very unique and beautiful console table in a hall or entry way.
