These beautiful cast stone urns are modeled after 10 bronze urns once displayed in a garden at the Chateau Bagatelle outside of Paris. The bronze urns were cast from the original 17th century models made for Louis XIV at Versailles. The 10 bronze models at Chateau Bagatelle were cast under the permission of Napoleon III. What you see below is a very well made pair of cast stone replicas of the originals. The have excellent detail and coloring.
