From France, this small round brass jardiniere also has a tin liner for holding fresh flowers or plants needing water. The jardiniere has handles on both sides with lion heads motifs having rings in their mouths on either side. There are gadrooned lobe motifs around the side. Above this is a band of ornamentation having an open oval motif surrounded by foliate motifs to either side. The jardiniere rests upon three lion’s paw feet. This wonderful antique French brass jardiniere can be used anywhere in the home.
CONDITION: Old restorations around one lion’s head, some small dents, portions of the upper part of the tin liner missing.
