This elegant painted barometer was carved in the late 1800s. The upper portion houses a temperature gauge. The carved decorations include floral and foliate motifs, finials, and a cartouche at the top. The distressed painted finish that was given to this barometer gives it a unique look compared to other antique barometers. It will be a wonderful decorative accessory on any wall. Since it is aneroid type, there is no mercury inside.
CONDITION: Rubs and scratches to paint and wood. Readings of gauges may not be accurate.
