From Austria, the charming bisque statue depicts a woman carrying bundled stalks on her back. She is walking between two planters on either side of her, and a lamb is in front of her with his head down smelling the scents of their surroundings. The two planters could be used for actual plantings if desired. The artist, Doebrich (signed on back), has sculpted his subjects with wonderful proportions and very fine details. Doebrich was from Vienna and known for making bisque figurines and decorative accessories of all subjects and sizes. The term Bisque refers to unglazed, matte white porcelain.
CONDITION: Good condition with old surface buildup to some details.
