This half pulley wheel is from India and has been mounted as a piece of art, on a rusted iron bar and wooden base. This matches the rustic nature of the pulley. It has been cut from a full pulley wheel which was used for lifting heavy loads. A rope would be looped over and into the groove to lift the load beneath. It was carved from a single piece of wood and has the appearance of something very ancient. It is likely from the 19th century, and today, it makes a wonderful accessory.

CONDITION: Very good. Old grain separations on the wood, missing wood in areas, all commensurate with its age and use.
