Code 311-34 A Pair of Polychromed Wall Carvings from Spain, 1900s
This pair of polychromed architecturals from Spain are made of meleze wood (also known as Archer) sometime during the 1900s. The carvings depict thick acanthus leaf volutes surrounded by more scrolling acanthus leaves. These beautiful pieces can be used as wall décor, made into sconces, or used simply as decorative accessories. Saw marks on the underside indicate they may have been salvaged from a larger structure.
CONDITION: Excellent, with minor loss to glaze in areas and tiny age separation. Drip marks on back H=20 1/4, W=18, D=2 5/8
