From Bassano del Grappa, Italy, these ceramic candle holders date to the early 1900’s. Bassano del Grappa is known for its wooden, 13th Century Ponte Vecchio bridge over the River Brenta. The area, of course, is also known for the production ceramics and porcelain. These white candlesticks depict cherubs toting a vase with flowers, fruit and foliage in their draped garb. They are standing upon flora which sits upon a beribboned circular base. The notches on the bottom were for old wiring which they once had. These attractive antique Italian white candleholders can be used anywhere in the home.
