The shape of this pedestal from the 1700’s, has most of its width at the front, allowing for more space than the usual rectangular or square piece. It has a slightly curved front with stepped out canted corners and canted sides, with the back having a short width. Shells and graceful acanthus leaf volutes are the only motifs on this wonderful antique pedestal from Liege.
This pedestal could be used to display artwork, or it could be used as a Maitre D' Stand in a restaurant.
CONDITION: Old restorations, minor age separations, very minor rubs and nicks, recently finished in a cream parcel paint finish.
