Original oil on canvas painting by a famous American artist Byron Browne (1907-1961). Byron Browne was a New York artist, he studied at the National Academy of Design and was one of the early proponents of the Abstract Expressionism movement in American art scene.
The painting is a wonderful example of the artist's cubist influences. It is titled "Teapot" on back and is a still life in pastel colors with delicately intersecting shapes, showing the volumes of objects in a wonderfully floating ambiguous way. Signed in lower right "Byron Browne".
