Original oil painting by a famous Dutch French artist Frits (Fred) Kline (1898-1990). Frits Klein is a world renown artist, printmaker, muralist and sculptor. He is the father of celebrated artist Yves Klein. His dreamlike colorful landscapes and seascapes were appreciated during his lifetime and have seen a resurgence in recent years. He has exhibited extensively in Europe with works in major museums.
This painting is a beautiful example of the artist's work showing a rocky seascape with colorful figures of beachgoers. The soft transparent bodies in a hazy landscape painted in an impressionist style create a lovely warm and serene scene. Signed in lower right "Klein".
