Vintage relief sculpture by a famous Russian American sculptor Boris Blai (1915-1989). Boris Blai was a versatile artist and teacher that studied with Rodin. Boris Blai came to US in 1918 and became a major figure in Philadelphia where he founded and was the dean of Tyler School of Art at Temple University. He exhibited widely in the United States and Europe and received various honors. His works are in prestigious collections, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
