Antique petite bisque socket head CM ( closed mouth) doll with cobalt glass stationary eyes and long painted eyelashes. Her eyebrows are single stroke 5 piece composition body with painted orange heeled boots. She has an antique blonde mohair wig and original lacy dress and unders. She is 4 3/4 inches tall. Her socket head is incised but not legible enough for me to identify. There is a series of numbers, possibly 300 series, and below that two horizontal bars or stripes with some characters incised between the bars. I found no other identification. Her body has losses to the surface compo at the back bottom and her right shoulder has been broken and re-glued. There may have been a paint touch up to the torso but it looks more like wear to me than an over-paint. The tips of her shoes have paint chips. In the close up image, what is seen on the eyes, especially the left one, is not damage. Under the loupe, it looks like wax from when the eyes were set. I did not attempt to remove it. Inside the head, the original plaster is in place and it looks undisturbed. No damage noted to the bisque head. She has been one of my favorites for years!
