Vintage tiny jointed carved and painted wood German Erzgebirge bearded man. He stands 2 3/4 inches tall and is jointed at the shoulders and hips - he can sit, The arms are wired to move in unison and I suspect he may once have been part of a two-figure dancing or action toy. His tattered, faded and worn clothing is sewn on with holes from movement at the shoulders. He has a molded and painted cap and brown bear - the cap looks to be blue with a green hat band. There is chipping to the cap at front. The feet and lower legs are painted matte black. I have owned him for quite some time and always considered him either a lumberjack or, my preference, a dollhouse leprechaun!
