Brown Aesthetic Transferware Butter Pat

This is a fabulous brown Aesthetic transferware butter pat. Originally part of a complete dinner service, the round disk measures 3" in diameter. The color is a rich chocolate brown.
The piece is decorated with the image of a rocky shoreline with a calm sea beyond, surrounded by a bamboo border. The piece is a delightful tribute to the Victorian love of nature and the exotic. Made by G W Turner and Sons in the Staffordshire district of England, the little dish is unmarked.
The piece is in great condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Stilt marks original to the making. This great little dish will make a stunning addition to any Aesthetic transferware butter pat collection.
