OUTSTANDING AESTHETIC GREEN TRANSFERWARE PLATE

MERINA PATTERN

Till and Sons Potteries

Staffordshire England

c. 1885

This large Victorian aesthetic 9 3/8 " dinner plate is transfer printed in the very best shade of green. The clear and crisp pattern features spectacular transfers of a Japanesque Fan containing three dimensional geometrics and a bird flying over a pond chasing a Dragonfly. A cartouche of an oriental vessel and a Butterfly finish off this rarely seen pattern. It is especially beautiful in this dark shade of green.

Condition is EXCELLENT, appears to have never been used and is clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
