This outstanding transferware scalloped edge platter measures 9 1/2” long x 8 " wide. It is beautifully transfer printed in a rich dark black against a white background.
The platter features a deeply scalloped rim with four large cartouches of urns and sailing vessels and these are separated by insets of luscious flowers. The central well displays a magnificent scene of women in a romantic setting. A large urn completes the piece.
Never Used. This platter is in outstanding condition, might have been stored in a cabinet for the last 175 years.
