This Victorian aesthetic 9 inch hexagon shaped plate is elegantly hand painted is transfer printed in brown and lavishly polychrome painted in shades of turquoise, gold, yellow and brown.
The pattern features an oversized exotic leafy Palm trees on a tiny island with a large Egret passing by. A spectacular Butterfly flits near the edge completes this great plate. The pattern displays the Victorian eras love of nature and the exotic.
The piece is in very good condition, clean shiny and bright. A tiny glaze flack off the back of the pointed rim. It is absolutely gorgeous - elegant and well potted, with richly detailed transfers reflecting the Victorian love of the exotic.
