AESTHETIC ERA BLACK TRANSFERWARE POT LID

Made in the Staffordshire Region of England
c. 1880
This Victorian 2 1/2 " wide x 1 3/8 " tall covered ceramic earthenware container was made during Victorian times and contained one part wax and four parts rose oil. Some creative Chemists would add whale sperm, borax, almond oil or the popular Otto of Roses. A very attractive pot with a fabulous scrolled transfer complete with quarter flower transfers.
The pieces are in great condition.
