4 ~ Stunning Pattern Brown Transferware Hand Painted Plates
Royal Doulton ~ Staffordshire, England ~ c. 1890
These fabulous plates are from the Aesthetic Movement Era. The very large plates measure 10 3/8 'in diameter. The plates are decorated in an Art Deco pattern with a naturalistic inspiration, a kaleidoscopic design of stylized sunflowers and feathers.
The decoration is bright and clear and coveted by collectors. The pieces was made by Doulton Potteries in the Staffordshire region of England.
Never Used. The plates are in great condition, bright shiny and clean. No chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs. Early pieces in this wonderful pattern don't come along often, and the contrast and composition is especially beautiful color.
