Stunning Pattern Brown Transferware Hand Painted Plate
Royal Doulton ~ Staffordshire, England ~ c. 1890
This fabulous plate is from the Aesthetic Movement Era. The very large plate measure 10 1/4 'in diameter. The plate is decorated in an Art Deco pattern with a naturalistic inspiration, a kaleidoscopic design of stylized sunflowers and feathers. The blue on this plate is flowing, quite unusual for this pattern.
The decoration is bright and clear and coveted by collectors. The pieces was made by Doulton Potteries in the Staffordshire region of England.
Never Used. The plate is in great condition, bright shiny and clean. No chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs. Early pieces in this wonderful pattern don't come along often, and the contrast and composition is especially beautiful color.
