This large Victorian 10 1/4 " wide plate is transfer printed in dark brown against a white background. Hand colored in stunning bright colors with a turquoise rim.

Rebecca Repelling The Templar, designed by Thomas Allen after paintings by the great Victorian painter Albert Moore. Wonderful border filled with characters from Sir Walter Scotts novel along with a multitude of animals, fish and fowl.

Ivanhoe is set in 12th-century England, with colourful descriptions of a tournament, outlaws, a witch trial and divisions between Jews and Christians.
Rebecca was the superstar in the novel.

Never Used. Displays beautifully, condition is great.
