Gildea and Walker Potteries Tunstall, Staffordshire England c. 1883
These large Victorian aesthetic 10 3/4 " dinner plates are transfer printed in dark brown. This is the largest sized plate made in this pattern.
The pattern features delightful Japanesque geometric designs mixed with exotic palm trees and other tropicals. A shoreline with sailing vessels set to the horizon while a large flock of birds fly by. An inset cartouche of a two bats flying beneath a quarter moon and the north star. Another inset of ornate flowers. This pattern has everything going for it.
Condition is excellent. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. All from the same dinner service.
