This is a wonderful stoneware pot that once contained Caviar by appointment to the King. The paste inside came from Russia which produced the finest Caviar anywhere. Primarily packed in these beautiful pots for the upper class in England with the approval of the King.
The piece was made in the Staffordshire district by Dolton Lambeth and is transfer printed in black. 3 1/4 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches tall. The piece is in great condition. The piece will make a great addition to any collection of transfer printed advertising wares or quack medicines, and would make a fabulous gift for the gentleman in your life!
