This Victorian 6 " x 6 "tile is transfer printed in blue against an off white background showing good detail and good contrast.
The Aesthetic Movement center tile shows a young boy and girl walking arm and arm in the snow covered winter landscape. It is one of a series of seasonal scenes depicting the 12 months of the year, designed in the 1880s by Helen Miles. The images of the months were produced by Wedgwood in the Staffordshire region of England.
Great condition with a tiny nick to the top left corner.
